Report On Eyp, ‘Annual Sports Day’ Held On Friday, 22nd February 2019.
The playground of Suncity School was filled with great zeal and excitement on Friday, 22ndFebruary 2019 as the students of Elementary Years Programme celebrated their ‘Annual Sports Day’.
The parade, races and the drills were all planned as per the theme of the year, ‘Roots’. The programme began with the Welcome Address to our esteemed Suncity family members, Ms. Mansi Goel, Mr. Ankit Goel and Ms. Namrata Goel, Mr. Arpit Goel and the parent fraternity. The event commenced as our Director Education, Ms. Rupa Chakravarty, declared the Meet open.
The first ones to captivate the audience were our Pre- nursery children who were all gleaming with enthusiasm, while welcoming the spectators. The students from all three grades presented a parade. The students from Nursery and Kindergarten presented a Peacock Drill, where they danced gracefully.
Kindergarten students presented a yoga drill and enriched everyone with the importance of doing exercises for a healthy mind and body. The little ones of Nursery and Kindergarten brought smiles on everyone’s faces by presenting the ‘Emoticon Drill’, giving a message to the audience to share their smiles with the world.
The children started with great enthusiasm for the track and field events. The races planned for the children were the ‘Florists at Work’ race, ‘Sandeshvahak’ race, ‘Let’s go Fishing’ race, ‘Against all Odds’ race and ‘Dress up the Scarecrow’ race.
The ‘Arpan’ students presented Taekwondo and Gymnastics Solidarity and participated in the Caper and Pouch race. They were all beaming with enthusiasm.
A few interesting track events were planned for the parents too. Parents participated enthusiastically and were eager to run on the tracks.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Neev Gupta, a student of Kindergarten, and this was followed by the National Anthem.
